Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue appropriate writs, order or directions and in particular issue a writ in the nature of certiorified mandamus, after calling for the records pertaining to the order dated 10.11.2009 in order No.73189/B4/09 suspending the petitioner's driving license for the period of 6 months from 05.11.2009 to 04.05.2010, quash the same and consequently direct the 1st respondent to return the petitioner's driving license, without any endorsement, award exemplary costs. This writ petition is filed challenging the order passed by the Regional Transport Officer, Chennai (Central), Chennai-23/ 1st respondent, Suspending the driving license of the petitioner for the period of 6 months from 05.11.2009 to 04.05.2010. The said 6 month period was already over. Both the counsel submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that subsequently the driving license of the petitioner was renewed before RTO Poonammalee on 18.05.2021 and the driving license of the petitioner is valid up to 12.08.2026, therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition. Recording the order of renewal, the writ petition is closed. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
