Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant prospecting licence for two years and quarrying lease for 20 years in favour of the petitioner in respect of Government quarry lands measuring of 4 Hectares, comprised in Survey No.443, Division No.39, situated in Karandapalli Village, Denganikottai, Krishnagiri District and shown in the sketch annexed with application by considering the petitioner's quarrying lease application dated 16.07.2007 under the Granite Conservation and Development Rules 1999.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the first respondent to grant prospecting licence for two years and quarrying lease for 20 years in favour of the petitioner in respect of Government quarry lands in Survey No.443, Division No.39, situated in Karandapalli Village, Denganikottai, Krishnagiri District, by considering the petitioner's application dated 16.07.2007.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that due to efflux of time, the writ petition may be closed, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned for appropriate relief.

3.Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
