Petition seeking bail in respect of Crime No.14 of 2024 registered for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 309(4) and 311 of BNS, is on board for consideration.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He also submitted that the petitioner is in custody from 12.01.2025 and the petitioner is also ready to abide by any other stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 3.
The case of the prosecution as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police while opposing for grant of bail to the petitioner is that, the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and demanded money at knife point, thereby, robbed an amount of Rs.700/-. He also submitted the petitioner is a habitual offender with 17 previous cases, out of which, 14 cases are theft cases and the investigation in the present case is pending.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side and considering that the petitioner is a history sheeter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
