Appeal filed under Section 378 of The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, praying to set aside the order dated 19.09.2011 passed in C.C.No.27 of 2003 (Case No.RC 8(A)/2000 of CBI, SPE, ACB, Chennai) by the learned XII Additional Judge, City Civil Court/ Additional Special Judge for CBI Cases, Chennai, acquitting the respondents/accused.

Public Prosecutor for CBI cases For Respondents : No Appearance Mr.V.Krishnakumar JUDGEMENT This Criminal Appeal is directed against the order of acquittal dated 19.09.2011 recorded by the learned Additional Special Judge for CBI Cases, Chennai, in C.C.No.27 of 2003 acquitting the respondents/accused.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the appellant submitted that the respondents are no more and the 2nd respondent died on 07.11.2016 while the 1st respondent died on 16.03.2020. He also produced a letter of the Superintendent of Police, CBI, Chennai, dated 01.11.2021 addressed to the Special Public Prosecutor along with a report. The death of the appellants is recorded.

3. In the light of the above, nothing survives in this appeal for further adjudication and therefore, the Criminal Appeal stands dismissed.
