O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of the orders of this Court made in W.P.No.5120 of 2002 dated 21.02.2013.

2. After several hearings, when the matter is taken up today, Mr.V.Chandrasekaran, learned Senior Panel Counsel for Central Government

has produced two letters. One letter has been addressed to the respondent, where the petitioner has stated that, the petitioner had been considered for promotion and accordingly he was promoted as Regional Director and the orders passed by this Court has been complied with. He has also sent another letter to his counsel ie., M/s.Akbar Row, Advocate, High Court, Madras dated 26.02.2021, wherein the petitioner has instructed the counsel to withdraw the contempt petition.

3. I have noted the contents of said two letters, a copy of which has been produced by the learned Senior Panel Counsel for Central Government appearing for the respondent.

4. In view of the said stand taken by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that nothing further survives in this contempt petition. Accordingly, the same is closed.
