This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent, The Chief Education Officer, Villupuram, Villupuram District, now 4th respondent, The Chief Education Officer, Kallakuruchi, Kallakuruchi District, to consider the petitioner's representation seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, dated 17.07.2007.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that her father died in harness as Headmaster at Government School, Koovagam, Villupuram District, on 03.12.2005. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 17.07.2007 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the writ. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4.Mr.P.Baladhandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner has been forwarded to the Chief Educational Officer, the 4th respondent herein, and the same will be considered by the said Officer on the basis of seniority and the petitioner is only at Sl.No.11 in the seniority.
5.In view of the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader and also considering the limited nature of relief sought for in the present writ petition, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner for compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits, considering the seniority.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
