Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioners had given a representation to the first respondent on 06.09.2021, seeking to measure and survey the subject properties. Since there was no response from the first respondent till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the prevailing practice regarding submission of application seeking to survey the lands as on date is only through online by paying requisite fees vide e-challan. In the present case on hand, the petitioners have not made the application through online. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that if the petitioners submit an application through online by paying requisite fees, the same will be considered by the respondents.

4. Therefore, the petitioners are directed to submit an application through online by paying requisite fees through e-challan, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the Page Nos.3/6

petitioners as well as rival claimants/interested parties, if any, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the online application.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

6. W.M.P.No.2865 of 2024 is ordered on payment of separate Court fees by each of the petitioners.
