The challenge in this writ petition pertains to local body elections conducted in the year 2011, which term had come to an end in the year 2016. In view of the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.

Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.2 of 2011 is also dismissed.
