This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned VI Addl. Family Court, Chennai to dispose the O.P. 3988 of 2017 pending on its file. 1/4

2. Considering the nature of order going to be passed in this Civil Revision Petition, which would cause no prejudice to the respondent, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is wife, and she has filed a petition for divorce, on the ground of cruelty. According to the petitioner, even though the O.P. was filed in the year 2017, so far, the Original Petition was not disposed of. That apart, the petitioner has also filed an Interlocutary Application seeking for maintenance and also for return of jewels. Further, the interim maintenance ordered by the court below was also not paid by the respondent husband, and dragging on the proceedings. Hence, this Civil Revision Petition has been filed.

4. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel appearing for petitioner and perused the records carefully.

5. Considering the limited prayer sought in this Civil Revision Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2/4

learned VI Addl. Family Court, Chennai is directed to dispose the O.P. 3988 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
