O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to file final report in Crime No.869 of 2016 pending on his file, within the time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Raja and others, the petitioners have lodged a complaint dated 29.06.2016 to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram, Chennai, who, in turn, directed the first respondent to register a case. Accordingly, the first respondent has registered a case in FIR No.869 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 427, 447, 109, 506

(2) and 379 IPC. Thereafter, no progress was made in the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

case. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor who took notice for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.869 of 2016 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
