Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records relating to the order dated 13.04.2016 and made in M.C.No.204 of 2016 on the file of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Karaikal, the first respondent herein and quash the same.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to quash the order dated 13.04.2016 made in M.C.No.204 of 2016 by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Karaikal, the first respondent herein. 2.Heard both sides.

3.It is seen from records that the petitioner is an habitual offender and has involved in committing offences and thereby causing public disturbance. Hence, several cases were registered against him and are still pending. Therefore, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karaikal, has issued a show cause Notice dated 13.04.2016 in M.C.No.204 of 2016 as to why the petitioner should not be ordered not to enter the entire region of Karaikal District. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer. 4.Admittedly, the show cause notice was issued in the year 2016 and now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
