Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the tenth Respondent to consider and dispose petitioners representation dated 09.01.2023 and 21.01.2024 requesting to issue patta based on the proceedings dated 11.07.2014 passed in Na.Ka.No 6769 / 2009 / A1 by the 10th Respondent relating to the agricultural land comprised in Survey no 97/5 village No 25 Meyyur village (earlier Sriperumbudur Tlauk Chenglapet district) now village No 5 Meyyur village Padur Poonamallee Taluk Tiruvallur district measuring an extent of 4.5 cres and to petitioner's house plot comprised in Survey No. 341 + 242 Plot No 48 H. No 3 / 294 Subash Chandra Bose Street ExServicemen colony Gudapakkam village Poonamallee Taluk Tiruvallur District measuring an extent of 319 sq.mts. within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the tenth Respondent to consider and dispose representations of the petitioner dated 09.01.2023 and 21.01.2024 requesting to issue patta based on the proceedings dated 11.07.2014 passed in Na.Ka.No 6769 / 2009 / A1 by the 10th Respondent within the time frame fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an Ex-service man and retired from service in the year 1984 and the Government of Tamil Nadu allotted 4.5 acres of agricultural land and housing plot measuring to an extent of 319 sq.mts. through Maiyyur and Gudapakkam Co-operative land Colonization Society, Kancheepuram and ever since the date of allotment, 3/6

petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the above properties. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite representation given by the petitioner for issuance of patta for the above properties, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the tenth respondent is directed to dispose of the representations of the petitioner dated 09.01.2023 and 21.01.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and in terms of G.O.Ms.277 dated 04.06.2004 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
