PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the 2nd respondent in R.C.No.C2/75160/2023 dated 14.12.2023. Now he is confined in the central prison Cuddalore, Cuddalore district in TPDA No.4114, as GOONDA, dated 15.12.2023 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the body of the detenu Boobalan son of Sekar, aged about 35 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.603, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 31.01.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
