O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nannilam, Tiruvarur District to dispose the petition in STC No.609 of 2019, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is an accused facing trial in STC No.609 of 2019 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nannilam, Tiruvarur District for the offences under Section 143 and 188 of IPC. Even though the case was registered on 25.05.2016, still there is no progress in this case.

3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the final report was filed during the year 2019 and the case has been taken on file in STC No.609 of 2019. There are six witnesses in this case and the case stands posted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for appearance of witnesses on 01.03.2022.

4. In view of the above, direction is issued to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nannilam, Tiruvarur District to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
