O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 02.09.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for cancellation of assignment patta granted in favour of respondents 3 and 4 and for classification of the property as a pathway.

2. Heard Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

3. It is seen from records that the representation made by the petitioner was acted upon and the Revenue Divisional Officer had directed the Tahsildar to conduct an enquiry and to submit a report. Thereafter, there was no progress. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 02.09.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the respondents 4 and 5 and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
