JUDGEMENT (Order of the Court was delivered by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM J.) The Letters Patent Appeal is filed against the order made in Cont. P.No.2190 of 2023 dated 29.11.2023. The contempt petition had been instituted to punish the respondents for their willfull disobedience of the order of this Court dated 26.04.2023 passed in W.P.No.12825 of 2023.
2. The petitioner appearing in person, filed the writ of mandamus to direct the respondents therein to consider the representation submitted by him on 13.03.2023. The writ court issued a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 therein, to take appropriate action on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 13.03.2023, in the manner known to law, within a period of 4 weeks.

Pursuant to the directions issued in the writ petition, the competent authority conducted an inquiry between the representatives of two groups within the jurisdiction of Kotagiri Police Station and filed the inquiry report before the learned Single Judge in the contempt petition. The learned Judge considered the inquiry report and found that regarding the conduct of 2/4
festivals of two temples in that village, i.e., one Sri Ranganathan Temple and another Sri Mahaliamman Temple, the dispute existed between two groups. The report filed by the Inspector of Police, narrating the events took place during the peace meet held on 22.06.2023 and 23.06.2023, was considered by the learned Single Judge and a finding was made that it is not a matter of excommunicating a person for the reasons, but it is a power fight between two groups. Thus, the contempt petition was closed.
4. Thus, we do not find any reason to interfere with the order under challenge in the present Letters Patent Appeal instituted. If at all any grievance exist to the petitioner, he is at liberty to redress the grievances in the manner known to law.
