PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in the nature of a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the respondent relating to the re-tender and re-auction notification issued in Na.Ka.No.585/18/A-1 dated 21.01.2021 fixing re-auction to held on 09.02.2021 and to quash the same as illegal in respect of item Nos.5, 6 and 7.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in a nature of Certiorari, calling for the records of the respondent relating to the re-tender and reauction notification issued in Na.Ka.No.585/18/A-1 dated 21.01.2021 fixing re-auction to held on 09.02.2021 and to quash the same as illegal in respect of item Nos.5, 6 and 7.

2.It is the case of the writ petitioner that he was the highest bidder for lease hold rights for clearing the drainage water in the Poonamalle Municipality for the period from 2020 - 2021 to 2022 - 2023 for Ward Nos.1 to 21. It is also contended that he had performed his work for a period of one year. Subsequently, the respondent had floated tender for 36 months by a tender notification dated 21.01.2021. This led to filing of the writ petition.

3.It is contended that on behalf of the respondent that even the extended period has now expired and therefore, the issues raised in the

writ petition do not survive for adjudication. 4.Recording the above statement, since the period of tender has expired and no further relief could be granted to the petitioner at this stage, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
