ORDER

The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused in Crime No.291 of 2015, has filed this petition seeking to quash the FIR.

2. The primary contention of the petitioner is that the present FIR has been registered for the offences under Sections 279 & 304(A) of IPC in the year 2015 and in view of the bar of limitation prescribed under Section 468 of Cr.P.C., no charge sheet can be filed after a lapse of 10 years.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor submitted that in this case investigation completed and a charge sheet has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Arcot. It is further submitted that the Magistrate has taken cognizance of the matter in C.C.No.68 of 2026 and the case is posted for next hearing on 24.09.2026 for issuance of summons to the petitioner.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Since the matter has already been taken on file by the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Arcot, it is for the petitioner to raise his objections regarding limitation and other aspects before the concerned Trial Court. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
