O R D E R

Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, the respondent has filed a counter, wherein at paragraph no.9, it is stated that as per the order of this Court, the respondent police has arrested the accused, viz., Amaravathy [A.1] and Meenatchi [A.2] on 05.04.2018 and 07.04.2018 respectively and remanded to judicial custody.

2. In reply, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the accused have been arrested and subsequently released on bail and pleaded for a direction by this Court to file a charge sheet against the accused.

3. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners to file a charge sheet against the accused cannot be granted, as the same is beyond the scope of the Contempt Petition. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in the Contempt Petition and the same is closed.
