ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is a tenant in the premises owned by the third respondent. In turn, the third respondent had executed a Power of Attorney in favour of the second respondent and the second respondent entered into an agreement for sale with the petitioner. Though the lease period is very much in force till March, 2025, on the instigation of the respondents 2 and 3, the first respondent had come to the petitioner's premises, thereby harassing the petitioner and threatened the petitioner to vacate the premises.

4. Therefore, it is seen that the dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 2 and 3 is civil in nature and the first respondent has no role to play in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the respondents 2 and 3. At the same time, if any cognizable offence is made out in the complaint lodged

by the second and third respondents as against the petitioner, the first respondent is at liberty to take appropriate action, on the complaint. Otherwise, the first respondent is directed not to interfere in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the respondents 2 and 3.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
