O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed directing the first and second respondents to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme of Adal Padal on 03.02.2023 at 06.00 PM to 11.00 PM at "Sri Mariamman Temple Maha Kumbhabishegam festival" J.Kollapatti Village, Jakkupatti Post, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District by considering and passing orders on the representation dated 27.01.2023.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 03.02.2023, from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., in the event of "Sri Mariamman Temple Maha Kumbhabishegam festival" J.Kollapatti Village, Jakkupatti Post, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District on 03.02.2023, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 27.01.2023 to the respondents. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.01.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
