ORDER

The civil revision petition is filed seeking a direction to Principal District Court, Thiruvallur to dispose of the petition for divorce filed by the petitioner in IDOP No.109 of 2024..

2. The petitioner herein filed divorce petition against the respondent/wife under Section 10(1)(x) of the Indian Divorce Act, 2005.

3. It is seen from the E-Court status that the original petition was posted for filing of counter as early as 27.08.2024. However, till date, counter in the main OP has not been filed. It is also seen that the matter has been sent for mediation and the same has not been returned back to the Court.

4. Taking into consideration the counter in the main OP has not been filed for the past 1 1⁄2 years, this Court is inclined to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the main OP as expeditiously as possible. In case, the matter is not settled before the mediation, it shall be returned to the Court for disposal on merits. The court concerned shall dispose of the OP as expeditiously as possible.

5. With this direction, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
