ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to revise the petitioner's wages with effect from 01.09.2019 based on the 14th wage Settlement dated 24.08.2022 and pay him the difference in Leave Salary and gratuity, arrears of Pension from 08.01.2022 to 28.02.2023 along with the interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit as by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined the service of the first respondent corporation on 05.06.1992 and opted voluntary retirement and retired on 07.01.2022. There was a Wage Settlement arrived between the Corporation and the Trade Union on 24.08.2022, however the retirement benefits were granted only based on the pre-revised wages and hence, the Corporation is bound to pay the differential retirement benefits to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation on 15.12.2025, however there was no response and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in an identical issue in W.P.No.48187 of 2025, this Court has disposed the matter with certain directions and prayed that the same benefits can be extended to the petitioner herein.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.48187 of 2025 dated 15.12.2025, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2025 with regard to the difference in leave salary and gratuity, arrears of Pension from 08.01.2022 to 28.02.2023

along with interest at the rate of 6% p.a., from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement as per the 14th Wage Settlement dated 24.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
