Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C to direct the respondents police to give police protection to petitioner, and petitioner's family members, and petitioner's property of vacant land measuring an extent of totally 2400 Sq.ft comprised in Survey No.114/1 part, New survey No.212/5B as per patta No.460, situated at Thiruverkadu Village, Poonamallee Taluk.

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents police to give police protection to petitioner and his family members and property, based on the representation dated 29.01.2016.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the petitioner is an accused in Crime.No.293 of 2016 on the file of the Thiruverkadu Police Station, Chennai.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands Dismissed.
