COMMON PRAYER:

Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 30.05.2023 and to issue patta in respect of the land in Survey No.7/9A measuring 0.40.0 ares in Pallipattu Village, Virudachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District within a time limit.

2. Seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the writ petitioners dated 30.05.2023, these writ petitions have been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. According to the writ petitioners, in the year 2011, the subject 2/4

lands have been assigned in their favour for performing agricultural activities, vide order in DKT No.1625/1420 on 18.12.2011, under a special scheme mooted by the Government. Though the subject lands were assigned in the year 2011, they have not been issued with pattas. Therefore, in order to avail benefits from the Government, they submitted their individual representations dated 30.05.2023 to the respondents seeking issuance of pattas. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present writ petitions.

5. Considering the limited relief sought in these writ petitions, the respondents are directed to dispose of the petitioners representations dated 30.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No 3/4
