M.Sundramoorthy ..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in connection with the impugned proceedings bearing No.Rc.No.AE15/31017/2004 dated 15.10.2004 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to draw a fresh panel for the vacancies for the year 2003 notionally with effect from 1st November 2002, with 1st October 2002 as the crucial date for qualification and correspondingly for the vacancies for the year 2004 and grant consequential benefits with notional promotion with seniority and issue such further orders as this court may deem fit.

ORDER
There is no representation from the petitioners.
2. Earlier, when the matter came up on 05.10.2020, there was no representation for the petitioners. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent was directed to get instructions and report the status of the case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Today, when the matter is called, the learned Special Government got instructions and submitted that at the relevant point of time since the petitioners were under the punishment period, their names were not included in the panel upto 13.03.2004 and 02.05.2004 respectively. After completion of the punishment period, their names were subsequently included in the next panel and they were promoted and also benefits had been extended and subsequently, they retired from service.
4. Considering the submission made by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the first respondent that at the relevant point of punishment period, their names were not considered but subsequently the petitioners name were considered for promotion and had been promoted and also got retired from service, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
