The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.38 of 2024, registered by the respondent for the offences under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act.

2.The petitioner had been remanded to custody on 16.01.2024 with possession of 517 bottles of liquor. The quantity seized is substantial. It is also stated that there are also 18 previous cases against the petitioner herein which are still pending.

3.Taking all these factors into consideration, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
