O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) A Division Bench of this Court, while hearing W.A.Nos.181 to 183 of 2009 had instituted suo motu writ proceedings, regarding an alleged incident happened inside Court Hall on 17.02.2009. The suo motu writ petition was numbered and periodically listed for hearing.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing by this Larger Bench pursuant to the direction of Hon'ble Chief Justice, Mr.Vijay Narayan, learned Advocate General would submit that security system in High Court campus has been stepped up and on account of efflux of time, it is unnecessary to proceed further.

3. Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned Government Counsel (Crl.Side) for R4 and R5 endorsed views of learned Advocate General.

4. On the side of Bar Associations, Mr.R.C.Paul Kanagaraj, learned Senior Counsel for Mr.S.Sasikumar, learned counsel for R10, Mr.V.R.Kamalanathan, learned Senior Counsel for R14, Mr.S.R.Raghunathan, learned counsel for BCI / R13 and Mr.R.Srinivas, learned Senior Counsel for Mr.Arun Anbumani, learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the Registrar General of this Court, all in one voice, would submit that it would be unnecessary to proceed with the present suo motu Writ Petition in view of the fact that security inside High Court Campus is presently adequate due to deployment of CISF personnel.

5. In view of the above submissions made between parties and considering the long pendency, the present suo motu writ proceedings stands closed. No costs.
