Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue patta in the petitioner's name for the property in S.F.No.371/4 measuring to an extent of 1750 sq.ft in Nerkundram village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Tiruvallur District by considering his representation dated 14.12.2017 and 21.03.2018 by appreciating the above stated facts. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by Mr.C.Jayaraman, S/o Chellaiha, claiming to be the owner of a house site comprised in S.F.No.371/4 having an extent of 1750 sq.ft in Nerkundram village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Tiruvallur District, seeking a direction to the Tahsildar, Maduravoyal Taluk to issue patta in his favour.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased the aforementioned property from his vendor Mr.K.Govindaraj, S/o Kuppusamy Gounder in whose favour patta no.111 was also issued for an extent of 1750 sq.ft in S.F.No.371/4. After getting the sale deed executed on the file of the Sub Registrar, Virugambakkam bearing Document No.6515 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2014, the petitioner has given a representation to the second respondent on 14.12.2017 to issue patta for the said land in his favour and subsequently he has also given one more representation on 21.3.2018 by Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due. But the petitioner has not received any response. Therefore, he has come to this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents sought four weeks time to consider the pending representation of the petitioner.

Placing on record his request, the Tahsildar, Maduravoyal Taluk is hereby directed to consider the petitioner's representation on the basis of the sale deed dated 26.9.2014 bearing Document No.6515 of 2014. The petitioner is also directed to make one more representation to the second respondent along with the copies of the sale deed dated 26.9.2014, the patta issued in the name of his vendor as well as this order within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
