ORDER

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2 nd respondent submits that the summons was issued in the enquiry proceedings under Section 81 of the TNCS Act. Pursuant to the summons, enquiry was conducted and the enquiry officer submitted his report on 31.12.2018, recommending initiation of surcharge proceedings against the petitioner under Section 87 of the TNCS Act. Thereafter, the 1 st respondent conducted surcharge proceedings and passed surcharge order against the petitioner fixing a liability to the tune of Rs.1,76,442/- against the petitioner.

2. In view of the subsequent development, this Court is of the view that nothing further survives for adjudication in the writ petition. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
