ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to mutate the revenue records and issue patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property on considering the representation made by the petitioner on 27.07.2024. 2.Heard Mr.M.Elango, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The writ petition has been filed mainly relying upon the judgment passed by the division bench in W.A.No.3989 of 2019, wherein the entire acquisition proceedings was declared to have lapsed. In fact, the brother of the petitioner approached this Court and filed W.P.No.37081 of 2024 and this writ petition was 2/4

allowed by this Court by an order dated 06.12.2024. The said order will also enure in favour of the petitioner.

4.In the light of the above discussion, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to mutate the revenue records with respect to the subject property and issue proceedings to change the patta with respect to the subject property in the name of the petitioner and this exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
