PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 17.1.2021 and provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner and his Family Members. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Anbalagan For Respondents: Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz Additional Public Prosecutor for R1 & R2

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner on 17.01.2021. 2.When the matter came up for hearing on 15.02.2021, this Court directed the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to take instructions.

3.Mr.Karikalan, Head Constable was present at the time https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of hearing through video conferencing. When the matter has taken up for hearing today learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the parties were called for an enquiry and the same was attended by the 3rd and 4th respondents and they have given a specific undertaking on 23.01.2021 to the effect that they will not cause any threat to the petitioner or his family members and they will workout their remedy only before the competent civil Court. Recording the undertaking given by the 3rd and 4th respondents, the complaint was also closed.

4.In view of the specific stand taken by the respondent police, this writ petition is disposed of by recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. No Costs.
