O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed to call for the records relating to the impugned award dated 26.08.2009 of the first respondent made in ID.No.455 of 2005 and quash that portion of the award in so far as awarding compensation of Rs.40,000/- and direct the 2nd respondent to order reinstatement with continuity of service, back wages with all attended benefits.

2.On 20.11.2023, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the second respondent proposed a settlement. He offered Rs.95,000/- as compensation instead of Rs.40,000/- awarded by the Labour Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner accepted the said proposal. The learned counsel for the second respondent thereafter sought time to make the payment.

3.Today, the matter is listed under the caption "for settlement". The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner produced a Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.95,000/- in favour of the petitioner. In view of the settlement 2/5

arrived at between the parties nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

4.In view of the same, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
