ORDER
The petitioner made a request to the first respondent to provide water and sewerage connection to his residential house bearing Plot No.52C, Kosi Mani Street, Padmanabha Nagar, Choolaimedu, Chennai - 94.
2.Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that by mistake, the third respondent has been wrongly arrayed as the relief sought for is only against respondents 1 and 2.
3.Learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2 would submit that there are minor deviations and if the same is rectified, there is no difficulty in giving water and sewerage connection as sought for. He would further submit that the petitioner is in the process of shifting his residence and for that purpose, water and sewerage connection is required and in any case, the petitioner undertakes to rectify the defects. 4.Considering the aforesaid submission, respondents 1 and 2 are directed to give water and sewerage connection to the petitioner's residence within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The undertaking given by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner that the minor deviations would be rectified within a period of three months is hereby recorded. It is made clear that if the undertaking is breached, it is well open to the respondents to disconnect the water and sewerage connection effected. It is needless to state that the petitioner will have to comply with all the other requirements, if not done already.
5.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
