This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 24.08.2023 wherein the petitioner has sought for cancellation of patta granted in favour of the 4th respondent in Patta No.897 pertaining to the suit property. 2.
Heard Mr.E.J.Ayyappan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for Respondents 1 to 3. 3.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the patta has been erroneously issued in favour of the 4th respondent and hence, an appeal was filed seeking for cancellation. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 24.08.2023 after giving an opportunity to the 4th respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
