ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent police to give police protection and permission to conduct the cultural programme at Vellakadai Village, Yercaud Taluk, Salem District on 11.04.2017, in the event of Sree Seetha Lakshmana Samedha Ramar Swamy Thirukoil Sri Mariamman Swamy Koil Thiruvizha, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2017. 2.It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 03.04.2017 to the respondents, seeking permission to conduct Cultural Programme at Vellakadai Village, Yercaud Taluk, Salem District on 11.04.2017, in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

event of Sree Seetha Lakshmana Samedha Ramar Swamy Thirukoil Sri Mariamman Swamy Koil Thiruvizha. However, the second respondent has orally denied permission to conduct the cultural programme. Hence this writ petition.

3.Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct "cultural programme", learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for which, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has raised no serious objection. 4.In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.04.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra at Vellakadai Village, Yercaud Taluk, Salem District on 11.04.2017, in the event of Sree Seetha Lakshmana Samedha Ramar Swamy Thirukoil Sri Mariamman Swamy Koil Thiruvizha, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "Adal Padal Nigazhchi / dance programme" in the name of "cultural programme".
