Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the Assignment order bearing Survey No.227/248 issued by the 4th respondent in the year 07.10.1985 to remove the encroachment and to use for Vettavalam Town infrastructures.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 10.08.2021, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this matter was directed to be listed on 17.08.2021 under the caption "for dismissal". Despite listing the case under the caption for dismissal on 17.08.2021, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence the matter was once again directed to be listed on two occasions viz., 24.08.2021 and 26.08.2021.
