This writ petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the impugned award dated 19.11.2004 made in I.D.No.387 of 1997 on the file of the Labour Court Coimbatore and quash the same

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/workman filed a memo dated 24.03.2023 and paragraph no.3 which is relevant for the consideration of this Court is extracted as below:

" It is respectfully submitted that the counsel for the 2nd respondent has sent a letter to her on 06.03.2023 to get instructions with regard to her date of retirement and with regard the present position. However, the said letter has been returned with an endorsement "No such addressee at the door number". Thus the counsel is unable to contact the 2nd respondent, Ms.S.Latha and is unable to get any details. The returned cover is enclosed herewith".

3. In view of the above memo filed by the learned counsel for the second respondent/workman, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to reopen the same, whenever the need arises. No costs. 12.06.2023 dpq Index : Yes /No Speaking Order : Yes/No To
