Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner, due to the punishment, was not considered for promotion for the relevant period. Subsequently after the punishment period was over, he was considered for promotion and he also got promoted and later on attaining the age of retirement, he retired on 31.05.2016.

3.Therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and hence, there is nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
