R.John Britto ..Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records on the file of the Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle, the second respondent herein in her proceedings No.SR/2-302/2001/NFPE-ED, dated 24.02.2005 and quash the same insofar as extending the trade union facilities to the fifth respondent herein and thereby direct the second respondent to extend the Trade Union Facilities to the petitioner as per the letter of the third respondent, dated 08.11.2004.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the order of the second respondent dated 24.02.2005 and consequently direct the second respondent to extend the Trade Union facilities to the petitioner as per the letter of the third respondent, dated 08.11.2004.

3. It is represented by the learned counsel on either side that this writ petition came to be filed, when the petitioner was functioning as Trade Union Circle Secretary and the term of the petitioner came to an end in the month of May 2006.

4. In the light of the above submission made learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the opinion that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
