Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay compensation of Rs.30 lakhs for the custodial death of the petitioner's son Ajithkumar by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2017.

ORDER

This writ petition has been preferred seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay compensation of Rs.30 lakhs for the custodial death of the petitioner's son Ajithkumar by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2017. It is the case of the petitioner that her son was detained under the Goondas Act and she was informed by the Prison authorities on 03.12.2016 that her son committed suicide by hanging in the prison and hence, the present writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

In the opinion of this Court, disputed questions of fact cannot be gone into in a writ petition and it is always open to the petitioner to work our her remedies in the manner known to law before certain other fora.

With the above observation, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
