The petitioner has challenged the order of suspension passed against him by the 3rd respondent.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.G.Anbumani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, by virtue of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.772 of 2005 dated 14.02.2006, the petitioner was permitted to retire voluntarily. Pursuant to the orders of the Division Bench of this Court, the 2nd respondent also, by order dated 12.07.2007, permitted the petitioner to retire voluntarily.

3.Under these circumstances, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, in view of the earlier orders passed by the Division Bench of this Court in the writ appeal and by the 2nd respondent dated 12.07.2007, the writ petition may be closed.
