This Civil Revision Petition is filed by the 1st claimant in RTROP.No.338/2023 pending on the file of the learned Additional District Judge, Mettur, seeking an early disposal of this proceedings which had been initiated under Section 77(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation Transparency Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the records.

3. A perusal of the records would indicate that the claim petition had been referred to the Court on 05.02.2024 and no progress whatsoever has taken place in the proceedings. The matter has been posted for the counter of the 2nd claimant who is also contesting for the compensation amount.

4. Taking into consideration that these proceedings have been commenced after the petitioner's lands were acquired, an early disposal is necessary to alleviate the loss sustained by the petitioner, who has been deprived of the land.

Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition stands allowed with a direction to the learned Additional District Judge, Mettur, Salem to dispose of the RTROP No.338 of 2023. within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
