ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to issue patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the subject property by considering the representation made by the petitioner dated 21.12.2024.

2.Heard Mr.K.M.Arun, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the subject property and he made an application dated 23.07.2024 for issuance of patta with respect to the subject property. The grievance of the petitioner is that the online application was not entertained on the ground that the process is undertaken for survey and issuance of separate patta regarding Natham lands and on the completion of the process, the petitioner was directed to submit his application seeking for sub division and for issuance of patta. 2/4

4.The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that this process will normally take between nine months and one year. Hence, some time frame can be fixed by this Court in order to enable the respondents to act upon the representation made by the petitioner, seeking for separate patta. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation dated 21.12.2024, wherein the petitioner has sought for issuance of separate patta with respect to the subject property and appropriate orders shall be passed within a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
