The prayer made in this writ petition is to issue a Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to provide police protection to the Kumbabishegam festival scheduled to be conducted on 29.06.2015 for Sri Muneeshwar Temple situate at Mannur Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.
2.Today, when this matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.
3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
