O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit, in view of the exorbitant sum demanded by the respondents, the petitioner is not interested in purchasing the property. He would submit further on instructions that the petitioner's representation seeking refund of the amounts paid to the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, can be directed to be considered by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

2. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the respondents are willing to consider the petitioner's representation seeking for refund, on merits and in accordance with law.

3. After recording the rival submissions, this Court, directs the petitioner to submit a representation to the Tamil Nadu Housing Board seeking for refund of the amounts paid by him to the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, for the allotment of the subject plot within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receipt of the same, the Tamil Nadu Housing Board shall consider the said representation and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks thereafter. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
