When the matter was taken up for hearing this morning, the learned Junior Counsel appearing for the petitioner requested for pass over. Hence, the matter is taken up at 2.15 p.m.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition for writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant re-employment to the petitioner as Selection Grade Lecturer (Mathematics) in P.T.Lee. Chengavaraya Naicker Polytechnic College, Vepery, Chennai - 600 007 till the end of academic year 2015-2016 (31.05.2016) with all salary and other consequential benefits from the date of superannuation i.e. 31.10.2015. 2/4

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the writ petition has become infructuous in view of the fact that the petitioner had prayed for re-employment as Selection Grade Lecturer (Mathematics) till the end of academic year 2015-2016. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner was not re-employed as there was no interim order.

4. Even from the prayer in the writ petition, it is clear that the writ petition has become infructuous and nothing survives for further adjudication in the writ petition.

5. In view of the same, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
