This petition has been filed for directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner is seeking for deleting his name from the alteration report that was filed in Cr.No.219/2023.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and final report has been filed on 16.02.2023 before the Mahila Court, Ariyalur. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the petitioner has been arrayed as A3 in the final report.

3. Considering the above submission, the relief as sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous. If ultimately, the Mahila Court, Ariyalur acts upon the final report and issue summons to the accused persons, the proceedings can be put to challenge. The petitioner is an Advocate who seems to have advised A1 in this case. On reading the Statement of the victim girl recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C, it is seen that she has not made any allegation against the petitioner. This shall also be kept in mind by the Court below while taking cognizance.
