Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records leading to pass the Memorandum No.3781/A2/2006 dated 03.01.2008 by the second respondent and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to give all the service benefits in accordance with the order passed by the Tamil Nadu State Administrative Tribunal in O.A.No.925 and 2634 of 2003 dated 06.08.2003.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the memorandum dated 03.01.2008, wherein the petitioner's request for consideration of his temporary service in Government Engineering College on contract basis for the purposes of career advancement was rejected. By G.O.Ms.No.514, Higher Education dated 14.12.2005, the services of the petitioner were regularised with effect from 02.05.1997 and the petitioner's were to be entitled to career advancement from the date of regularisation. It is now 2 / 4

submitted that the petitioner's during the pendency of the writ petition have received all the benefits under Career Advancement. The counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner's past services will be considered from the date of their initial appointment for the purpose of pension as ordered in O.A.Nos.925 & 2634 of 2003. As the petitioner's have already received the benefits under Career Advancement, nothing survives in this writ petition. In the light of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
