ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent police to alter the F.I.R. and to add Section 307 of IPC in the FIR.

2. The learned Government Advocate on instructions would submit that the FIR was registered on 17.02.2016 for offence under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) of IPC. The investigation is in progress. If, in the course of investigation, the respondent police collected sufficient materials, the offences will be accordingly altered and all the accused persons will be brought to book.

3. In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to continue the investigation effectively and based on the materials collected during the course of investigation, either alter the FIR or file a final report in Crime No.91 of 2016 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
